About the Quiz

The HiDA Bible Quiz New Testament Edition is a global online program organized by the Himalayan Diaspora Academy (HiDA) to encourage youth and churches to study the Bible together.

Through friendly competition, participants grow in their understanding of Scripture, build fellowship with others, and deepen their faith while studying the New Testament.

Who Can Join?

  • Age must be between 14 and 40 years.
  • Each church may register one team.
  • Each team must have three members.
  • The same registered members must participate in all rounds.
  • Pastors may guide teams but cannot compete.
  • Participants must follow the code of conduct.

Quiz Format & Rounds

The HiDA Bible Quiz will take place in six rounds. Each round focuses on specific parts of the New Testament.
📖 Round 1 – Gospels
📖 Round 2 – Acts of the Apostles
📖 Round 3 – Pauline Epistles
🔁 Wildcard Entry – Questions from Rounds 1, 2, and 3
📜 Semi Final – General Epistles and Revelation
🏆 Final Round – Entire New Testament

Technical Setup

Participants must meet the following technical requirements to take part in the HiDA Bible Quiz.

  • Stable internet connection.
  • One device for each participant (For Kahoot)
  • Zoom for joining the session.
  • Kahoot for answering questions.
  • Camera must remain on during the quiz.
  • Join at least 15 minutes before start time.

Scoring System

  • Scores based on accuracy and speed.
  • Individual answers via Kahoot.
  • Team score is the sum of all 3 members.
  • Scores reset at the beginning of each round.
  • Tie breakers used in Final round if needed.

Demo Game / Orientation

  • A demo session will be held before Round 1.
  • Participants will learn the quiz rules and how to use Zoom and Kahoot.
  • Teams can test their internet connection and devices.
  • Demo scores will not count toward the competition results.

1. Can all three team members sit together?
Yes. Team members may sit together or join from different locations.
2. Do we need to keep our cameras on?
Yes. Cameras must remain on during the entire quiz for fairness.
3. Is the quiz open book?
No. The quiz is strictly closed book. No Bible, notes, or internet searching is allowed.
4. What happens if one team member loses internet connection?
The remaining team members will continue. The disconnected member should reconnect immediately.
5. How early should we join before the game starts?
Please join at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
6. Can we change team members between rounds?
No. The same three registered members must participate in all rounds.
7. How is the team score calculated?
The team score is the total score of all three members combined.
8. Do scores carry forward to the next round?
No. Each round starts fresh with new scores.
9. What happens if there is a tie?
Tie breakers will be used only in the Final round if needed.
10. What platform will be used for the quiz?
Zoom will be used for the live session and Kahoot will be used to answer questions.
11. Will there be a practice session?
Yes. A demo game will be conducted before the official competition begins.
12. Who can participate?
Participants must be between 14 and 40 years of age.
13. Can pastors participate?
Pastors are encouraged to mentor youth teams instead of participating.
14. How will results be announced?
Results will be announced live immediately after each round.
15. What scholarships are offered?
Winners will receive free HiDA courses, and finalists may receive admission fee waivers.
16. How are Facebook winners selected?
Three Facebook engagement winners will be selected each week based on announced criteria.
17. What if we have a dispute?
All decisions made by the organizing committee are final.
18. Can members participate from different countries?
Yes. Team members may join from different locations as long as they represent one church.
19. Can we use one device for all three members?
No. Each team member must use their own device.
20. What if our team joins late?
Late teams may miss questions and risk elimination. Extra time will not be given.
21. Are questions multiple choice only?
Yes. All questions will be multiple choice through Kahoot.
22. Will the study guide be provided?
Yes. Study guides will be provided for Rounds 1, 2, and 3. Not all quiz questions will appear exactly as written in the guide.
23. Can we record the Zoom session?
Recording is not allowed without permission. Official recordings may be shared by organizers.
24. What happens if Kahoot crashes or there is a technical issue?
The organizing team will pause the game and use a backup plan if necessary.
25. Who makes the final decision about rules?
The HiDA Quiz Committee holds final authority on all matters.
