Certificate of Ministry

The “Certificate of Ministry” course was held from September 12, 2015, to May 30, 2017, at Nepal Baptist Church of Baltimore. During this time, 27 local church leaders from Maryland and Virginia participated in the course, which was taught 4 hours a week for 2 years. The course covered a variety of topics including Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Preaching, and Bible Study Method. The course was designed to equip church leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to lead their congregations and serve their communities effectively.

Online Bible Study

An online Bible study was held at the premises of Central Presbyterian Church in Towson, Maryland. The study was group-based, and interactive and was held weekly and live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube, making it accessible to a wider audience. The study aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the Bible and its teachings, to help individuals grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with God. The format of the program allowed participants to engage in discussions and share their thoughts and insights with the group, making it a collaborative and enriching learning experience. The live-streaming feature also allowed individuals who were unable to attend in-person to join the study remotely, making it more convenient and inclusive.

Church Leadership Workshop, Pittsburgh

On November 25-26, 2017, Dr. Manoj Shrestha taught a 15-hour class on Christian leadership at the Pittsburgh Bhutanese Hosanna Church. 21 participants received certificates after completing the class which was specifically tailored to the needs of the Bhutanese-Nepalese Christian leaders and well received by the leaders, providing valuable insights and practical tools for the leaders to improve their leadership skills and better serve their community.

Christian Leadership Course, Online

During the time of the Covid pandemic, a Christian leadership class designed by Dr. Manoj Shrestha was held on Zoom, to equip Nepali-speaking Christian leaders. The class was attended by 38 people from Nepal, the USA, and India. The participants received certificates after completing the training. The classes were held from April 1, 2020, to March 18, 2020, and were taught 2 hours a day for 3 days a week. This online format allowed participants from different locations to come together and learn in a safe and convenient way during the pandemic.

Leadership Training (INSLT)

The International Nepali Speaking Leadership Training (INSLT) started on March 18, 2020, it is a platform for Nepali speaking pastors to learn from qualified instructors on a wide range of topics. Over 150 pastors join from across the globe, classes are held daily and more than 500 certificates are distributed during the 2 graduation ceremonies. It provides an opportunity for pastors to learn and improve their leadership skills, serving their congregations and communities more effectively.

Church Leadership Workshop, Ohio

On Sept 3-4, 2021, a Local Church Leadership Workshop was held at the Christian Community Friends Church in Ohio, led by Ps. Nima Ghising, Dr. Manoj Shrestha, and Ps. Norbu Tamang. They taught various aspects of leadership to more than 50 attendees. The workshop was an excellent opportunity for local church leaders to come together, learn from each other, and gain a deeper understanding of the important role of leadership in Christian ministry.

Mobile App Development Course

Mobile Application Development Course: The Mobile Application Development Course, facilitated by Mr. Paurakh Humagain, was a 12-week-long course designed for individuals interested in developing mobile applications. The course covered various topics related to mobile application design, development, testing, and deployment, and uses a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and practical assignments to reinforce learning. Over 30 participants from different professions enrolled this class via zoom.

Data Science Bootcamp

Data Science Bootcamp: The Data Science Bootcamp, led by Mr. Manjeel Baral, was a three-month-long course via Zoom, with over 40 participants from different professions. The course covered modules on statistical analysis, data visualization, machine learning, and deep learning, and used a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and practical assignments. Participants found the course to be informative and practical, and praised Mr. Manjeel Baral’s teaching style. Overall, the course was successful in providing participants with a solid foundation in data science.

Church Leadership Workshop, NYC

In October 2022, the Nepali Speaking Church of Baltimore partnered with five Nepali churches from New York City to organize a two-day leadership workshop led by Dr. Manoj. Over 50 church leaders from six different churches attended the workshop, which covered topics such as effective communication and strategies for overcoming common challenges. The workshop was interactive and provided valuable learning opportunities for participants. The partnership between the churches was a great example of collaboration and support within the Nepali-speaking community. The organizers hope to continue this partnership and offer similar workshops in the future.
